Compass Box Whisky Celebrates
Unprecedented 4th "Innovator Of The Year" Award!

London, UK - For a remarkable 4th time, Compass Box Whisky Company proudly announces its title as Whisky Magazine's 2007 "Innovator of the Year" in recognition of their new release, "Oak Cross." Compass Box competed against four nominees for the prestigious annual award determined by a vote of 200 whisky industry representatives.

Compass Box founder and whiskymaker John Glaser says, "I'm pleased that Oak Cross has earned us this award. Oak Cross is a Scotch whisky matured in a way unique to Compass Box. Together with our coopers, we've created a proprietary cask using a combination of the highest quality new French and American oak. The two oaks each contribute special flavors to the whisky."

Oak Cross is 100% malt Scotch whisky, most of which has undergone a secondary maturation in Compass Box's special casks. Inspired by visits to the forests of France in search of top-quality cooperage oak, Oak Cross is made of a selection of Highland single malt whiskies all aged for at least ten years. Carefully combined, they balance delicate sweet, lightly-malted flavours with heavier, fruity characteristics.

Oak Cross is now available at on-premise and off-premise locations nationwide.
